Hi! My name is Shawn Gearhart and I have been selling treasures on eBay for almost ten years now, specializing in selling vintage children’s books, but also selling vintage toys and many other books and collectibles.

I have always used the money from selling on eBay for extra money, but at the beginning of 2008, I was inspired by the TV show “Oprah’s Big Give.” I’ve always loved to give, but have also always wished I had more to give. Then I thought about all of the treasures I have to sell on eBay and how much that income could help others. So I am now taking 100% of the profits from all of my auction items that are labeled “AuctionGiver” and giving them to local charities and/or people in need.

Why the website? The website is here to keep people updated about what has come in and where it’s going. Each time a “give” is made to a charity or person/family, the story and details will be listed the site. All of the eBay usernames who contributed to the “give” will be listed as well. So you can follow the stories and see how your money helped to change people’s lives and make the world a better place!
